Birthday Party for Scouting! (AFUMC - Trinity Hall)
It's the birthday of Scouting (founded in 1910)and we will celebrate with carnival games, birthday cake, ice cream, Basket Raffles, a 50 / 50 drawing and a special presentation by a father and son who hiked the entire Appalachian Trail!
This year's theme: The GREAT Outdoors!
TIME 2:00-4:00pm (Leaders set up at 1:30, Volunteers please arrive @ 12:30 - Pizza will be provided).
The first 50 scouts to arrive will receive a Prize!!!
Scouts can earn basket tickets by participating in the Den activities! In addition, Scouts will be randomly awarded basket raffle tickets for demonstrating great Scout behavior!
NEW This Year: Basket Raffles & a 50/50 Raffle! Each Den will be raffling off a Cub Scout Prize Basket (Tickets are just $1 each and Cub Scouts can earn tickets by volunteering and participating in the Den activities). The 50/50 raffle will go toward raising funds for Friends of Scouting (Tickets are just $2 each, and prizes will be 5%, 15% and 30% of funds raised).

The Basket Raffle and 50/50 Drawings will start at 3:45 PM.
Each Den will host an activity at the Blue & Gold Celebration. Current activities include:
- Elk Antler Ring Toss (Den 6)
- Fishing for Tickets! (Den 9 & 10)
- Campfire Building Relays(Den 17)
- Leave No Trace Bean Bag Game (Den 2)
- Pinecones for Prizes (Den 1)
- Compass Challenge (Den 7)
- S'Mores Wars! (Den 15)
- And more to be announced!
Friends of Scouting
We also use this opportunity to focus on our commitment to continuing the great resources that Scouting provides, by pledging our financial support to the Boy Scouts of America through "Friends of Scouting."Contributions support the Atlanta Area Council operations, including the Bert Adams and Woodruff Scout Reservations in our area.
This year we will have a special guest to talk to us about Friends of Scouting: A Scouting Father & Son duo who recently hiked the entire Appalachain Trail together! Click Here to see a short video!
