Each year since 2009 AFUMC has had Operation Oreo, where they collect packages of Oreo Cookies and ship to the military personal stationed overseas.  Last year AFUMC collected and shipped 3.7 tons of cookies and the 2015 goal is 4 tons.  Attached is a flyer on this program and the history of how it got started. 

 

The Pack has been challenged by Troop 69 to a friendly contest to see which of the two BSA units can collect the most cookies by weight for this project. 

 

I would like ask each Scout family to bring a package(s) of cookies to the Tiger Graduation May 17.

 

Additionally, on June 27 the packages will be placed in the sanctuary (see picture on attachment) for Patriotic Sunday.  Additionally, they are also asking for kids to write notes and place them on the packages.
