What: Summer Event: Launch your model rocket and receive Rank Advancement Awards!! (AOLs - please stay uned for more info on Crossover)
SOAR Rocketry is graciously allowing our Pack to use their launchers and access to a great launching area! See SOAR's website here.
Important things to note:
- Please arrive promptly by 9:00 AM so that we are respectful of the time from SOAR’s volunteers.
- Bring your own rocket and engines. (see below for more info).
What to bring (besides the rocket stuff)
- Water!
- Folding camp chair, especially for grown-ups.
- Don’t forget to bring hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses!
New to model rockets? No problem!
There are all types of kits to be found – ready to go out of the box, some assembly required, or even complete build-your-own rocket kits. Estes rockets can be bought for $10 and up.
