If you're coming camping, here's what you need to know!
We’re expecting a great trip this weekend. We’ll be the largest group there. We just had 3 spots open up… if you’d like to come, contact me by Noon on Friday.
This may be a long email, but if you are coming camping, you are required to read all of it. Please also print it and bring it with you. Here is what you need to know;
Scouts should wear their Class A Uniforms to and from the event, and all day on Saturday.
No carry-on food or drinks will be allowed. A snack bar and vending machines are available in addition to scheduled meals.
What to bring: Each person must bring a sleeping bag, pillow, shampoo, deodorant (non-aerosol), toothpaste, soap, towel, wash cloth and all other necessary personal effects. Insect repellent (non-aerosol) is advisable.
You are free to explore the entire Patriot’s point areas, but must be in attendance for Saturday Lunch and Dinner, the Aviation Program on Saturday, and Sunday Breakfast.
Parents must supervise their children at all times.
Aviation Program (for paid campers only): The Aviation program introduces Scouts to the history and development of Aviation using the unique resources found at the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum. After an introduction to Aviation program in our ship’s theater, scouts go out to the Hangar Bay and complete a preflight inspection on one of our planes. Next, all participants will build a model FPG 9 with materials we provide. Once built, the Scouts will have a working model to help them with the discussion of flight principals.

Assigned Berthing Quarters: All campers are assigned specific berthing quarters and are requested to respect the privacy of other campers by not entering any other berthing quarters. The berthing quarters are heated and air-conditioned.

5:30 PM: All of Pack 459 meets “On Deck” aboard the Yorktown for a Pack Photo.
6:00 PM: Dinner in Meal Hall C
(Optional) 7:00 PM: Blue Angels videos in ship’s theater.
(Optional) Movie in Ship’s Theater
REQUIRED: 9:45 PM: MANDATORY FIRE DRILL
11:00 pm: Taps
6:30 AM: Reveille
7:30 AM: Meal Call for Pack 459
8:30 AM: Dismissal. Have a safe trip home!
